Barracudas conclude schedule on the road

HIDALGO, Texas - The Rio Grande Valley Barracudas will try to close out the 2017-2018 on a high note when they visit the state of California for a pair of road games against the Pacific division opponents Turlock Express and San Diego Sockers.
It is not the first time that the Barracudas have road games in California in consecutive days as they as they took on the Express and the Ontario Fury where they split by defeating Turlock and dropping the contest against the Fury.
Rio Grande Valley will face Turlock for the fourth and final time this season where they hold the series advantage at 2-1. The most recent victory for the Barracudas came against the Express on January 21, 2018 where Julio Reyes and Fernando Moreno each had hat-tricks and Moises Gonzalez had a five-point night.
Turlock is looking to snap a 7-game losing streak as they will count on Ivan Campos and Adrian Plascencia to lead the offense and snap the skid. The Express do have a victory over the Barracudas which came on December 3, 2017 when it won on the road 11-7.
Rio Grande Valley will face one of the MASL toughest defenses on the second leg of the California trip versus the San Diego Sockers that have two formidable goalies in Chris Toth and Boris Pardo. The Sockers also boast a balanced attack with Kraig Chiles leading the offense. It will be only time this season that the Barracudas will face the Sockers this season.
