Lancaster Stormers News Release

The Lancaster Barnstormers have teamed up with two radio partners, WLAN, 1390-AM, and WPDC, 1600-AM for the second consecutive season, making them the only team in the Atlantic League, and one of a minority of minor league teams in the country, with a multi-station radio network.

The Barnstormers 2013 regular season schedule plus any playoff games will be broadcast on WLAN-AM as well as on 1390wlan.com and the I-Heart Radio cell phone app. In addition, WPDC, an all-sports station based in Elizabethtown, will carry every game on the schedule along with playoffs.

"We love being able to provide live broadcasts for our fans," said General Manager Kristen Simon. "People can feel like they are part of the action when the team is away, or for games they cannot attend. Many even bring their radios or cell phones and listen while at Clipper Magazine Stadium."

"We're extremely excited to begin our second year as the Flagship of Barnstormers Baseball and look forward to seeing you and your family at the games," said WLAN General Manager Bill Palmeri. "WLAN AM is a heritage station in Lancaster and home to news and talk for Lancaster County."

WPDC is the station for high school football and basketball in Lancaster County as well as the local home for sports talk favorites Steve Czaban and Dan Patrick, the NFL playoffs and the NCAA Tournament. "The Barnstormers are a great addition to local sports on WPDC," said station general manager Vince Grande.

Dave Collins will be returning for his ninth season as the "Voice of the Barnstormers" and his 25th season as a full-time minor league broadcaster.

The Lancaster Barnstormers are entering their ninth season as a member of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. Home games are played at Clipper Magazine Stadium in downtown Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Please call 717.509.HITS (4487) or visit LancasterBarnstormers.com for more information.
