
Bandits take first game of weekend series

St. Louis, Missouri- St. Louis took the first game of the weekend series against Santa Fe 5-2 on Friday night at the Summit Center. Santa Fe started the scoring late in the first period when Tibor Kutalek scored on St. Louis goaltender Pat Nagle. Minutes later Graham Sisson was awarded a penalty shot after getting hauled down on a breakaway. Sisson would capitalize on the penalty shot, sniping a wrist shot pass Santa Fe goaltender Nick Hopper.
The Bandits took the lead in the second period as Pat Maroon and Mike Murray scored midway through the second period. St. Louis took a three goal lead early in the third when Jeff Dimmen added another goal. Santa Fe scored two minutes later but that was as close as they would get as the Bandits finished with an empty netter to cruise to a 5-2 victory.
