BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Buffalo Bandits today announced the team has signed defenseman/transition player Brent Noseworthy to a two-year deal. The team also signed defensemen Reid Acton and Chukwuemeka Okaeme, and goaltender Joel Watson to one-year deals.
Noseworthy (6'4", 220 lbs., 2/6/1996) signs with the Bandits after being selected in the first round (12th overall) of the 2019 NLL Entry Draft. Noseworthy transitions to the professional game after an accolade-filled collegiate career at the University of Michigan, where he played for four seasons and recorded 119 points (102+17). The two-time team captain left Michigan's program as the Wolverines' all-time leading goal scorer (102), and his 119 career points are the second most in program history. His 2018 campaign saw him score a program-record 41 goals and 48 points, earning him First Team All-Big Ten and team MVP honors that year.
The Burlington, Ontario native spent the summer of 2019 with the Brooklin Lacrosse Club of Major Series Lacrosse, tallying six points (4+2) in 15 games played. He scored one goal in one postseason game with the Atlas Lacrosse Club of the Premier Lacrosse League after being selected by the team with the 23rd pick in the PLL's inaugural College Draft this past spring.

Acton also spent one season (2016) with the Georgia Swarm, playing in eight games and tallying one assist. Prior to his professional career, the Toronto, Ontario native played four years of collegiate lacrosse for Loyola University Maryland, recording three points (2+1) in 53 games and winning the 2012 NCAA National Championship with the Greyhounds.
Okaeme (6'0", 170 lbs., 4/2/1998) has played for the West Durham Ironheads of the OJBLL for the past five seasons, totaling seven points (1+6) in 63 games. He set career highs in goals (1), assists (3) and points (4) in 2016 when the team was located in Markham, Ontario. A native of Ajax, Ontario, Okaeme spent one season playing collegiate Lacrosse at Brock University, recording one assist in 10 games.
Watson (6'4", 308 lbs., 3/24/1998) signs with the Bandits after being selected by Buffalo in the sixth round (88th overall) of the 2019 NLL Entry Draft.
