Chicago Bandits News Release

ROSEMONT, Illinois - July 31, 2012 - Chicago Bandits GM, Aaron M. Moore, announced today that the Bandits have released pitcher Meagan Denny-White from the 2012 team.

Denny-White signed with the Bandits this past off-season as a free agent after spending time as a member of the Pro Fastpitch Xtreme (PFX) Tour. Spending four seasons on the tour, she was named the PFX Pitcher of the Year in 2009.

Prior to joining the PFX Tour, Denny-White spent her collegiate career at the University of Texas at Austin. She currently ranks second in Texas history in innings pitched (689.1), appearances (138), games started (116), complete games (67), wins (69), shutouts (27), strikeouts (988).

In 11 appearances for the Bandits this season, she finished with a record of 2-3 along with an ERA of 9.75 including 29 strikeouts in 37.1 innings pitched.

"This was a tough move to make for us on a personal level," said Moore. "Meagan came in and competed and instantly became popular with her teammates in the locker room.

"We needed to make a move before the roster freeze deadline tomorrow, and this is the one we felt would create the most flexibility."

Tickets for the Bandits final home series of the 2012 season against the Carolina Diamonds, August 15-18 are on sale now. To order tickets, contact the box office at 877-722-6348.
