Bakersfield Blitz Introduce New Dance Team Coordinator

Bakersfield- Bakersfield Blitz announce Blitz Girl Taryn Green as the new dance team coordinator for the 2007 Blitz Girlz.

"The Blitz organization couldn't be happier filling the dance team coordinator position with Taryn Green," said Blitz Vice President Paul Press. "Taryn was instrumental with helping Christy Shaterian revitalize the Blitz Girlz in '06. I'm absolutely positive she can continue their success in the 2007 season."

Green has been a member of the Blitz Girlz for three years and is currently teaching dance classes at Dancer's Turnout Academy. Choreography is a passion of Green's and her favorite styles of dance are jazz, hip hop, and tap.

In her years with the Blitz, Green has participated in many community programs. Just this past year, she represented the Blitz in a local television station's dunk booth to help raise money for the American Heart Association. Bakersfield Magazine named Green as one of Bakersfield's Sizzling Singles and she helped the 2006 Blitz Girlz coordinate the Blitz Dance Camp, helping young girls gain confidence and self-esteem.

Green will be coordinating Blitz Girlz appearances and keeping them involved in countless community outreach programs. In addition to performing at games during the season, fans will be able to see the Blitz Girlz at schools, community events and functions year-round.

Tryouts for the 2007 Blitz Girlz will be held in February. Details will be announced soon.
