Bakersfield - The Bakersfield Blitz is teaming up with Jesus Shack Street Teams in the pursuit of children who need school shoes on Saturday, September 23.
Because a large amount of children started school wearing shoes worn to the soles, the Blitz want to help by putting good shoes on the feet of Bakersfield youngsters. The Blitz is asking for donations of new school shoes of all sizes for boys and girls. Cash donations are welcome and will be used in the purchase of new shoes. All donations are to be dropped off at the Blitz front office, 515 Truxtun Ave, by Friday September 22. Tax deductible checks can be made payable to: Jesus Shack.
Street Teams is a community outreach service hosted by Jesus Shack. The purpose of Street Teams is to reach the hurting and needy parts of the Bakersfield community with food, love, prayer, and other needed necessities. These outreaches occur the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month at 10:30 a.m.
