Vermont Frost Heaves News Release
South Burlington, Vt.-As they chase a precious PBL playoff berth, the Vermont Frost Heaves will host Atlantic Division rival Quebec at Burlington's Memorial Auditorium on Sunday evening, with a special 6:05 p.m. tipoff.
All members of National Guard, and their families, and any College student with a valid College I.D. will be admitted for half-price to all remaining Frost Heaves home games in both Burlington and Barre.
The Northfield Savings Bank Community All Star will be one of the Frost Heaves most ardent supporters, Mr. Dan Barry who will be putting up his halftime free throws on behalf of the American Cancer Society.
The recent signings of forward John Smith, a two-time NCAA Division II Player of the Year at Winona (Minn.) State, and Brian Graves, a star guard at Catawba (N.C.) College, give coach Will Voigt's squad extra firepower as it heads into the stretch.
With an 8-6 record, the Heaves are battling Wilmington, Augusta and Halifax for the two wild-card spots in the PBL playoffs, which are set to begin at the end of March. The Kebs boast victories over Vermont, Halifax and Manchester this season.
Free parking for games at Memorial Auditorium is available in the lots at nearby Edmunds Elementary and Middle Schools.
Tickets for all Frost Heaves games are available at the Flynn Box Office in person, by calling 802-86-FLYNN or online at flynntix.org. Tickets for Barre games only are also available at Allen Lumber in Barre and First in Fitness in Montpelier. For more information go to vermontfrostheaves.com. The Frost Heaves are proud to partner with the Vermont State Employees Credit Union and the Vermont Army National Guard.
