Back to Business: Thunder Training Camp Opens Monday

Mahoning Valley Thunder News Release
BOARDMAN, OH. - The Mahoning Valley Thunder is pleased to announce the opening of training camp for the 2009 season. Players will report to Mahoning Valley Saturday March 7th with on-field drills beginning Monday morning. Mahoning Valley will bring a maximum of 35 players to camp (per league rules) before trimming the roster to 23 players on March 21st. Players will report to Head Coach Mike Hold this Saturday for the first team meeting of 2009 with a team dinner to follow. The first official practice kicks off Monday, March 9th with light drills. Camp will conclude on Sunday March 22nd.
The Thunder training camp schedule is listed below along with media availability. Practices will be held at the Mayor Ralph A. Infante Wellness Center. (213 Sharkey Road. Niles, OH 44446). Coach Hold and Thunder players will be available for interviews immediately following each day's practice for approximately 15 minutes. To request an interview with Thunder players or coaches, please contact the Thunder Media Relations department prior to that day's practice.

Entering the offseason our goal this was to improve our team speed and depth, and overall I think we've accomplished both of those goals. This is an exciting time of the year for the players, coaches and front office. We look forward to getting back on the field and competing for an Eastern Division Championship"
