Axemen to Announce New Head Coach Friday

Bemidji, MN - The Bemidji Axemen will be announcing their new head coach Friday, August 15 at 10:00am in a press conference in front of the Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox statues at the Waterfront.

At the same press conference, the four members of the new ownership group will also be introduced and be available for questions. The press conference is open to the public and the community is encouraged to attend!

Also on Friday, the Axemen will be hosting a special Meet and Greet (open to the public) with the new head coach and ownership group at Garden Grill & Pub. The Meet and Greet will start at 7:00pm. The Garden Grill & Pub is located at 111 Central Ave SE in Bemidji.

The Axemen will begin their second season of play in February at the Sanford Center as part of the Indoor Football League (IFL). The IFL is a 10-team league with teams located nationwide from Washington to Wisconsin. The Billings Wolves, the IFL's newest franchise, will join the Axemen and eight other teams from Green Bay, WI, Sioux Falls, SD, Fort Collins, CO, Kennewick, WA, Grand Island, NE, Casper, WY, Allen, TX, and Cedar Rapids, IA.

Season tickets for the high-paced, wall-to-wall indoor football action at the Sanford Center start as low as $56 and are available now through the team's website at www.bemidjiaxemen.com. Each ticket ordered by September 1 will receive a free "9th Man" jersey.
