
Axemen Sign Two

Bemidji, MN - Two players have been added to the Axemen roster today. Philander Browder II and JaJuan Harley, both rookies of the Indoor Football League, have signed with the Bemidji Axemen.
Browder, the Verbena, AL native, played collegiately at Tuskegee University, an NCAA Division II school located in Tuskegee, AL. Browder finished his career with the Golden Tigers with 75 catches for 860 yards and four touchdowns. On special teams, he tallied 20 tackles and ran a 4.3 40-yard dash at his pro day for NFL scouts and had a workout with the Houston Texans.
Harley, hailing from Tallahassee, FL, started his collegiate career at ACC-powerhouse Florida State University where he appeared in 11 games in 2009 for the Seminoles. After the 2010 season, Harley transferred to Middle Tennessee State University where he appeared in 12 games, eight of which he started. He recorded 73 tackles, one tackle-for-loss, three interceptions, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery for the Blue Raiders in 2012. After forgoing his senior season to enter the 2013 NFL Draft, Harley signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Seattle Seahawks.
"We're excited to add Philander and JaJuan to our football team," Axemen coach Robert Fuller reflected. "They both have impact player potential and both are NFL-caliber football players."
