September 22, 2014 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Minnesota Axemen News Release

Bemidji, MN - The Bemidji Axemen return two veterans to the team after re-signing wide receiver Josh Jarboe and defensive lineman Rony Nelson.

Jarboe returns to help the Axemen wide receiver group after having a productive season last year. Jarboe, an Arkansas State University alum, notched 244 receiving yards on 27 receptions with four touchdowns in five games with the team.

"Josh is a big-time receiver that will help create one of the top receiving corps in the IFL," Axemen head coach Dixie Wooten stated. "He's a special talent that can strike anywhere on the field for a touchdown. It means a lot to our organization to have a player like Josh on board."

On the defensive side of the ball, the re-signing of Rony Nelson will help bolster the Axemen defense. Nelson, an Iowa State University alum, tallied 25 tackles and three sacks for the Axemen last season.

"Rony coming back is a big plus for us," said Wooten. "He gives us versatility on the defensive line. His work ethic is great and skill set is very high."

The Bemidji Axemen kickoff their season in February of 2015 on Palace Casino Field at the Sanford Center. Season tickets are now on sale starting as low as $56 each and can be purchased online through BemidjiAxemen.com. For more information, please contact the Axemen offices at (218)444-8216.
