Minnesota Axemen News Release

Bemidji, MN - The Bemidji Axemen have added another quarterback with the signing of Terrance Owens. A dual-threat quarterback from the University of Toledo, Owens provides the Axemen with another playmaking signal caller.

"We are really excited to add Terrance to the Axemen family," Axemen head coach Dixie Wooten stated. "He's shown that he can lead a team and we have zero doubt he can do the same for the Axemen."

In his college years, Owens was the ultimate leader for the Rockets. In his four years with the team, he amassed 8,203 passing yards with 63 touchdowns and an overall passer rating of 142.9. In his senior season Owens threw for 2,230 yards with 18 touchdowns.

Owens also brings the ability to scramble and making plays with his feet to the table. He rushed for 918 yards and nine touchdowns in his time with the Rockets.

The Bemidji Axemen kick off their season in February of 2015 on Palace Casino Field at the Sanford Center. Season tickets are now on sale starting as low as $56 each and can be purchased online through www.bemidjiaxemen.com. For more information, please contact the Axemen offices at (218)444-8216.
