
Axemen Bolster Defense with Signing of Mankato Grad

Bemidji, MN - The Bemidji Axemen look to strengthen their defense with the signing of defensive back Earl Brooks.
"Earl will be a great addition for us this year," Axemen head coach Dixie Wooten stated. "He has great ball skills and understanding of the game. I'm excited to coach Earl."
A native of Deerfield Beach, FL, Brooks last played for Minnesota State University - Mankato. In 14 games for the Mavericks, Brooks tallied 53 tackles, three interceptions, and two forced fumbles on his way to a 2nd Team All-NCIS South Division selection in 2012.
Prior to Minnesota State, Brooks spent three seasons with Iowa State University, where he was a Big 12 Honor Roll student.
