Minnesota Axemen News Release
Bemidji, MN - After weeks of tough contract negotiations, the Bemidji Axemen are proud to announce they have agreed to terms with Axel the Axeman. Axel will primarily serve as the Director of Promotions for the Axemen, in addition to several other duties around the office including Office Manager, Janitor, and Coffee-Runner.
"Walking in the office every day, it almost felt as if there was a void," Axemen president Ross Ladehoff stated. "With Axel in the family, I think that void has been filled."
A product of a partnership between the Axemen and N&B Painting, Axel has already started planning some great things for the Axemen including company outings, community appearances, and even a couple of birthday parties.
"Axel has the exact skillset needed for this business," Axemen general manager Adam Barnhardt said. "He's already practically Axemen Employee of the Year."
Axel (6'5, 300 lbs.) comes to the Axemen after graduating summa cum laude from the prestigious Mascot State University and looks to make an immediate impact in Bemidji and the Northland.
"I mean even if he did turn out to be the worst mascot ever, I think he could probably still play offensive line," Axemen head coach Dixie Wooten reflected. "He'd make an impact in this league, that's for sure."
Axel is immediately available for appearances and outings in the Northland. If you're interested in having Axel appear at your event, please contact the Axemen offices at (218)444-8216 or e-mail Axel directly at axel@bemidjiaxemen.com.
The Bemidji Axemen kickoff their season February 8, 2015 against the Minnesota Sting on Palace Casino Field at the Sanford Center. Season tickets are now on sale starting as low as $56 each and can be purchased online through www.bemidjiaxemen.com. For more information on season tickets, please contact the Axemen offices at (218)444-8216.
