Aviators to Appear at Community Events

BROOKLYN, New York - The Brooklyn Aviators, Brooklyn's pro hockey team and second-year member of the Federal Hockey League, announced that the club will be appearing at upcoming local community events to kick off the 2011-12 season.

"It is so important for us, especially at this time during the year, to get out there and expand our fan base, while also reaching out to the community," said Team Executive/Broadcaster, Carmine Vetrano. "Last season we had such a strong relationship with all the area schools and local organizations that we want to continue those interactions, and build even more."

The Aviators, who won the FHL's regular season title last year, will be making their first stop at Brooklyn College's, Welcome Back Bash on Sept., 27th from 12:00 P.M-2:00 P.M, which is sponsored by the Brooklyn College Student Center. The team's front office staff - along with their mascot, Ace - will be one of the hundreds of clubs/organizations from the area that will advertise their brand and services. Make sure to stop by the Aviators' table at the Welcome Back Bash to grab pocket schedules, prizes and sign up for potential giveaways!

On Saturday, October 1st, the Aviators will be setting up another greeting table at the 22nd Annual Long Beach Irish Day Parade and Festival that starts at 10:00 A.M. The next day, the club will make their presence felt over at the 38th Annual Third Avenue, Bay Ridge Festival, where they will have another table with great giveaways set up for potential fans starting at 8:30 A.M.

The A's will then head to the Brooklyn Chamber Annual Membership Meeting and Business Trade Show at Steiner Studios on October 5th from 3:00 P.M - 7:00 P.M, while hosting the Kings County Craft Shows from 10:00 A.M - 6:00 P.M. at the Aviator Sports and Events Center on October 15th.
