Brooklyn Aviators News Release
BROOKLYN, New York - The Brooklyn Aviators are proud to announce that they will be holding a canned food drive at all Aviators home games from December 9th - Jan 13th in conjunction with Food Bank For New York City.
"The Brooklyn Aviators are proud to partner with yet another great organization, the Food Bank For New York City. Even in vast metropolises like New York City, we are still faced with issues of food poverty around every corner," said Jun Okada, a Team Executive for the Aviators.
"With the help of the Aviator Sports and Events Center and Brooklyn Aviator patrons, we want to end food poverty in New York City. Let's do our part and help our fellow New Yorkers this holiday season."
Food Bank For New York City recognizes 28 years as the city's major hunger-relief organization working to end food poverty throughout the five boroughs. As the city's hub for integrated food poverty assistance, the Food Bank tackles the hunger issue on three fronts - food distribution, income support and nutrition education - all strategically guided by its research. Fans are encouraged to bring a canned food item, maximum of six, and will receive $1 off their ticket per can that can be applied per adult general admission or VIP ticket (no kid's tickets). This offer cannot be combined with other offers and are subject to change.
