Aviators Rally past Butler

In yet another close battle at home, the Lafayette Aviators eked out a win over the Butler Blue Sox 5-2.
Matthew Patton walked away with player of the game honors. He doubled in the 7th inning, bringing Kam Smith home to tie the game at 2. Patton added a two-run homer in the 8th to put the home team up by a comfortable margin of three runs.
The Blue Sox would be unable to answer in the 9th, giving us our final tally of 5-2.
The Aviators' host the Kokomo Jackrabbits on Thursday for a doubleheader. First game is scheduled to start at 5:35 pm.
