The Lafayette Aviators split their doubleheader with the Terre Haute Rex, losing their first game but winning their second.
The first game was a rough outing for Lafayette, with a final score of 12-2, giving up multiple runs in each of the first three innings. The score ballooned to 8-0 after the 3rd inning, and while Lafayette would respond with their first run in the 4th inning, it wouldn't be the spark that they needed to match Terre Haute's production.
Kam Smith hit a triple and scored, and Brady Huebbe contributed two hits in the losing effort.
