Black Friday Blackout

It's the return of Black Friday Blackout at Riverside Arena. The Bruins will be donning their black uniforms which are generally reseved for road games. In addition there will be giveways, raffles, and beer specials throughout the night. ALL TICKETS FOR BLACK FRIDAY BLACKOUT WILL BE DISCOUNTED TO $5. Expect great deal from Games People Play, the official Bruins merchandise retailer, to help you get the perfect gift for the Bruins fan in your life. Fans are encouraged to dress in all black Bruins attire in an attempt to "blackout" the opponent.

LAST GAMES REVIEW: The Bruins completed a successful weekend and season series sweep over the Minnesota Magicians this past weekend. On Friday, Austin shutout their in ‚¬Âstate rivals 4 ‚¬Â0 behind the calming influence of Brett Miller in net. On Saturday, the Bruins traveled to Richfield and dominated the Magicians for the second straight night, this time walking away with a 5 ‚¬Â2 victory. Ben Almquist lead all scorers on the weekend with five points (3G, 2A) which earned him the NAHL Bauer Central Division First Star of the Week. Brett Miller backstopped the Bruins on both nights and improved his record to 6 ‚¬Â1 ‚¬Â0 ‚¬Â1 on the season. By sweeping the Magicians on the weekend, not only did the Bruins sweep the season series four games to none, they also handed Minnesota their eighth and ninth straight losses.

UPCOMING GAME PREVIEW: Following their sweep of the Magicians, the Bruins were able to leapfrog the Minnesota Wilderness for 4th place in the NAHL Central division standings. Up next for Austin is the team right behind them in the standings, the Wilderness. The Bruins and Wilderness will bookend the Thanksgiving holiday with a home ‚¬Âand ‚¬Âhome series beginning on Wednesday night in Cloquet, followed by a Bruins home game on Black Friday known as Black Friday Blackout. The Bruins are 1 ‚¬Â1 ‚¬Â1 ‚¬Â1 against the Wilderness, but have the advantage of earning the last win in the season series when they downed the Wilderness 4 ‚¬Â3 on November 9, 2019 at Riverside Arena.
