Austin Bold FC Announce 2021 Preseason Schedule

AUSTIN, TX Austin Bold FC announced their 2021 preseason schedule in preparation for the 2021 USL Championship season. Marcelo Serrano's men will take on a wide range of opposition in the months leading up to the season kickoff including MLS, USL Championship, and USL League Two clubs.

Many clubs will feel familiar to The Bold Familia with a few new local additions. The Bold will take on a pair of Texas MLS clubs in March in FC Dallas and Houston Dynamo. This will be Austin's second meeting with both teams. Austin Bold FC took on FC Dallas in a preseason-friendly in 2020 and Houston Dynamo in the 2019 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.

USL Championship foes Rio Grande Valley FC will visit Bold Stadium, while an Oklahoma road trip will see The Bold take on OKC Energy FC and FC Tulsa. Preseason will wrap up with matches against Round Rock FC and Houston FC of USL League Two. Coach Marcelo will also get two chances to check out local talent with a pair of matches against local youth club Lonestar SC

"We have a lot of new faces coming into our team this year and these matches will give us an opportunity to evaluate how we're operating as a complete unit. The different levels of the club offer us different challenges in our season preparations," said Austin Bold FC head coach Marcelo Serrano. "The entire organization will like to thank all our preseason oppositions for their time and resources."

Friday 4/9: Home v Rio Grande Valley FC

Thursday 4/15: Away v OKC Energy FC
