HARRISBURG RECAP... The Sea Dogs swept two weekend games against the Harrisburg Senators to salvage a 3-3 series tie, exploding for twelve runs and a season-high eight in one inning of Sunday's 12-2 win. The Sea Dogs batted .287 (58-for-202) as a team with 13 doubles, one triple, and four home runs. They walked 37 times in six games to the tune of a .402 on-base percentage, and were 9-for-11 on stolen bases. Ronald Rosario and Tyler McDonough each had three multi-hit games, while Jack Winnay, Nelly Taylor and Ahbram Liendo each had two multi-hit games.

WATCH OUT FOR WINNAY! Infielder Jack Winnay batted .333 last week, going 4-for-12 with a double and six walks, leading the team with a whopping .529 on-base percentage. He already has ten multi-hit games as a Sea Dog. Overall, he is batting .310 (31-for-100) through his first 29 games in Portland with six doubles, four home runs, 19 runs scored, 11 RBI, and 15 walks. He leads the team in batting average and on-base percentage (.415).

McDONOUGH'S RETURN Utility player Tyler McDonough had an excellent week in his return to Portland, batting .350 (7-for-20) with a double, a home run, six RBI, four walks and five steals. McDonough was recently assigned to Portland after a 31-game stint with Triple-A Worcester, where he batted .310 with six doubles, seven home runs, 22 RBI and 15 walks.

WALKIN' WILL TURNER Will Turner recorded his 66th walk of the season on Sunday. He is the Eastern League leader in that category, and 3rd best in Double-A despite spending two weeks of the season on the injured list. Turner has played just 72 games, while no one else in the top 20 in Double-A walks has played fewer than 76 games.

DEADLINE DAMAGE RHP Anthony Eyanson, previously the top pitching prospect in the Red Sox organization and the Sea Dogs' leader in ERA and opposing batting average, was one of four prospects dealt to the Orioles in a trade for catcher Adley Rutschman, alongside Red Sox catcher Carlos Narváez.

FACES IN NEW PLACES Infielder Yoeilin Cespedes made his Double-A debut on Sunday, going one-for-five with a two-RBI single. The 20-year-old is currently the Red Sox' no. 12 prospect on MLB Pipeline, and batted .249 in 82 games for High-A Greenville. LHP Devin Futrell was recently assigned to Portland after recording a 4.22 ERA through 15 appearances (12 starts) in Greenville. Futrell struck out 85 hitters in 74.2 innings pitched at the High-A level. He is scheduled to make his Double-A debut on Friday.

THIS DAY IN SEA DOGS HISTORY August 4, 2007 - Cory Keylor became the second player in franchise history to hit for the cycle. Keylor tripled in his first at bat, then doubled, singled and finally homered in his fifth at bat, going 4-for-5 on the night. The Sea Dogs won the game, 18-7 against the Senators in Harrisburg and picked up their 1,000th victory in team history.

ON THE MOUND LHP Jeremy Wu-Yelland (2-0, 6.60 ERA) will make his first start and twelfth appearance for the Sea Dogs this season. Wu-Yelland joined the team on June 21st after a short rehab stint in Florida, and has gone as many as three innings in a single outing this season. His last time out against Harrisburg on July 31, Wu-Yelland allowed two runs on one hit and five walks, going just 0.2 innings. Overall, he has allowed 11 runs in 15.0 innings pitched on 13 hits and 12 walks with 24 strikeouts. He pitched for China in the 2025 World Baseball Classic Qualifier in Tucson during Spring Training, throwing 1.2 scoreless innings in his one appearance. Wu-Yelland was the Red Sox' fourth round pick in the 2020 MLB First-Year Players Draft out of the University of Hawaii.
