Alpena IceDiggers News Release


The Alpena IceDiggers Junior A Hockey Club of the NAHL are still looking for golfers to participate in the fall golf outing at the Alpena Golf Club this Saturday, September 9, 2006, with a 9:00AM shot gun start. Please contact the IceDiggers office to sign up.

The format will be a four-person, best ball scramble. The event is open to all interested individuals. Advanced golfing abilities are not required. Team signup can be as groups of four or as individuals and teams will be formed. Cost is $65 per individual or $260.00 per team and it includes 18 holes of golf with cart, and door prizes, lunch will be provided immediately following the outing at the Twin Acres-19th hole restaurant located at 1081 US 23 North . Other games will consist of putting contests, skins and many more fun games.

Every team will have an IceDigger player that will join their group for this fun and exciting golf outing, this is a great chance to meet the newest members of your 2006-2007 Alpena IceDiggers hockey club.

So be sure to come out and join the IceDiggers and enjoy a great day of golf at the beautiful Alpena Golf Club and help support your IceDiggers prior to the 2006-2007 season.

Hole sponsorships are being sold for $50.00 per hole, the IceDigger players have been in the community selling these hole sponsors and the boys are still looking for more to fill the tee boxes and greens.

On Sunday the IceDiggers will attend the Posen Parade before heading to Blaine MN for the NAHL Showcase starting Wednesday Sept. 13th where Alpena will open the regular season against the North Iowa Outlaws at 3:30PM CST.
