Attack Lose 33-29 to Blue Racers
Marion, OH - The St. Louis Attack lost a 33-29 contest to the Marion Blue Racers Saturday night at Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Marion, O hio. The loss dropped St. Louis' record to 2-2, while Marion improved to 2-1.
S t. Louis got on the board first with two points when DeAndre Jackson won the X-Dash. Keenan Miller scored a rushing touchdown in each of the first two quarters to help give the Attack an 18-16 lead with 14 seconds left in the first half . St. Louis wasn't done, however, as Aric Evans made a 25-yard touchdown reception with seven seconds remaining, to give the Attack a 25-1 6 lead at the halftime break.
M arion bounced back to tie the game in the third quarter, which ended with the score knotted at 26. St. Louis regained a 29-26 lead in the final stanza on a Jason Null field goal with 11:35 left in the game. The Blue Racers bounced back with a touchdown to make the score 32-29 with 6:05 remaining and scored one more point before the clock expired to hold on for a 33-29 win.
The Attack won't have to wait long to avenge this loss as these same two teams will collide in six days when the Attack host the Blue Racers Friday, April 24 at 7:35 p.m. at the Family Arena. The April 24 game is one of only two remaining home games on the Attack's regular season schedule.
