Atlanta Mustangs stampede onto the Atlanta market

Atlanta, Georgia – New kids on the block. Formerly the ABA Gwinnett Gwizzlies, with new ownership and management, the ABA Atlanta Mustangs are preparing to begin their inaugural 2004-2005 professional basketball season. The team's new owner, Arthur Crawford, is a former co-owner of the Biloxi, Mississippi, Gulf Coast Gamblers basketball team, an NBA professional basketball agent, and former executive director of The Boys and Girls Club. James Bynum will serve as the team's General Manager.

Tryouts and drafts are well under way with the direction of Head Coach, Brook Steppe, a former All-American basketball standout with Georgia Tech University. The team's first away games will be played beginning November 20th, in Nashville, Tennessee against the ABA Nashville Rhythm.
