Today we get further rest during the day, which will consist of everyone sleeping in late and just keeping the energy and strength levels high to be able to play & win back to back games on Wednesday & Thursday night here in Nashville, TN. We also practice in the evening at a private & secluded location just outside of Nashville. We want privacy & focus as we prepare to get started with the Championship Tournament!

Your concern in the Playoffs or in Post-Season play is to always have the energy, strength and health to be able to perform at your highest level. We are emphasizing that to our players as we get ready for our first game on Wednesday night.

I think mental preparation is crucial in the playoffs on any level of professional basketball. You must have the right approach to prepare yourself to play the game. You can take nothing for granted, especially in the ABA Playoff format, which is exactly like the NCAA collegiate basketball tournament (1 & done). If you are not ready to play, then you could find your season over with quickly. We are fully aware that there are 7 other teams here at this ABA Championship Finals and that we have to go out to win this championship, for no one is going to just give it to us. Whoever wins this ABA Championship next Sunday here in Nashville, TN will earn it on the court. So preparation time both on & off the playing court is crucial to achieving our desired success!

As I mentioned previously, We practice Monday & Tuesday evenings here in Nashville, TN at a pre-arranged and private site to prepare for our first opponent. We will know tonight who that will be as the Texas Fuel & Knoxville square off in the Championship Finals play in game! In my way of thinking no matter who it is, we must prepare, for there is no replacement for preparation, for "Failing to Prepare is Preparing to Fail!"

We still have a day till game time here in Nashville, TN. Everyone wants to play today, but I'm happy it is Wednesday and that there is still a day to prepare. I think you have to get oriented to your surroundings and we still are doing that. Game time will be here soon enough and we still have some getting ready to do before we play. "GO MUSTANGS!!!
