To ALL Mustangs, ABA, & Basketball Fans:

Well, our SOUTHEAST TEXAS MUSTANGS are here in Nashville, TN. We traveled here last night on our Team Bus! Not a bad trip at all. We are resting today at the Drury Inn & Suites - Airport in Nashville, TN. We arrived this morning here at 7 AM. We'll rest today and then start our preparations tomorrow for our first game at the 2009 ABA Championship Finals on Wednesday. We'll know our opponent for our first game tomorrow (Monday). We'll practice on Monday & Tuesday evening at Lavergne High School (located just outside of Nashville). Practices will be closed! We'll be really focusing in on our final preparations for our initial opponent of the Championship Finals in Monday & Tuesday's Practice Sessions (Thanks to former Assistant Coaches, Coach Holloway & Coach Dean for your help in lining up practice facilities for our Mustangs).

I will keep everyone updated from the Finals as we move forward in it during this upcoming week... We are excited about our participation, for this is what you work and play for during the year. Anytime you can participate in a Championship Tournament it is SPECIAL!

Many out there want to write negative things about the ABA, well, the League is a long standing league in the USA. It give players, coaches, and staff positions to work from the move forward in their professional careers within Basketball and those positions are difficult to find in so many cases. Is there ways the ABA can and should improve; Absolutely! But you show me any business or professional sports league where improvement is not needed! The ABA gives so many jobs and a platform to showcase their skills from and it is a very beneficial league. Now it is time for the ABA to Showcase its best teams over the course of this 2008-09 season with the ABA Championship Finals & Event this week in Nashville, TN. I encourage ALL Basketball Fans to go online to www.nashvillebroncs.com or www.abalive.com and purchase their tickets and come out to support the ABA's best teams this season. There are several outstanding teams here with each team at the ABA Finals having a chance to Win this season's ABA CHAMPIONSHIP!!! Do come out and support all the players, coaches, and staffs that have worked so hard to have an outstanding 2008-09 in the ABA.

OK, that's all for now. Hope to see you at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium this week as the Championship Tournament begins on Wednesday with games all day long. Also remember, the ABA All-Star Game, 3 Point Shoot-out, & Slam Dunk competitions will be next Sunday, which will be ABA CHAMPIONSHIP SUNDAY here Nashville, Tennessee. GO MUSTANGS & ABA!!!
