GREENEVILLE, TN- The weather at Pioneer Park was hot as was the bat of Greeneville Astros' CF Mitch Einerston. His solo home run in the bottom of the first, his 10th home run of the season, propelled the Astros to a 6-2 victory over the Johnson City Cardinals. The Astros would tack on four more runs the next inning with two scoring on 2B Pedro Espinoza's single and another two made it home on SS Waldamir Sutil's double. C J.R. Towles drove in the Astros' llast run of the evening on a RBI single in the sixth. The Cardinals would score their only two runs of the night in the seventh on C Brandon Yarbrourgh's double. RP Matthew O'Donnell picked up his first career win in two innings of scoreless work.
The Astros and Cardinals meet again tomorrow at Pioneer Park starting at 6:00 PM. Sunday will feature a Sunday Supper of beef tacos beginning when the gates open at 5:00 PM. These Western Division foes move their series to Johnson City on Monday before a league wide day off on Tuesday.
