
Asheville Altitude Acquire David Evans, Release Rollerso

GREENVILLE, S.C. (March 13, 2003) â In a late-season personnel move the Asheville Altitude has acquired forward David Evans, according to an announcement today by National Basketball Development League Executive Director Karl Hicks and Asheville Head Coach Joey Myer. The Altitude waived center Ron Rollerson.
Evans is a 6-foot-5, 230-pound forward who played collegiately at Brevard (N.C.) College ('02). Evans was the leading scorer for the Tornadoes last season, averaging 16.7 points per game. He was named the Appalachian Athletic Conference player of the year and led Brevard to the AAC championship while leading both the team and the conference in rebounding (10.5), steals (117) and blocked shots (65).
Rollerson played in 33 games for Asheville, starting six. He averaged 10.0 minutes, 3.7 points and 3.0 rebounds.
Evans is expected to be in uniform when the Altitude hosts Greenville Friday at the Asheville Civic Center. He will wear temporary jersey #3 in Friday's game before switching to #42.
