Arlington, Texas - The Arlington Renegades are returning home to face the Orlando Guardians in Week 3 of the XFL season on Sunday, March 5 at Choctaw Stadium (3 p.m. CT on FX). Led by legendary head coach Bob Stoops, the Renegades (1-1) won their home opener against the Vegas Vipers on February 18 before suffering their first road loss of the season against the Houston Roughnecks on Sunday night. MILITARY APPRECIATION GAME
The Renegades are partnering with the National Medal of Honor Museum for Sunday's Military Appreciation Game, featuring an appearance by medal recipient Captain Florent "Flo" Groberg of the United States Army. On August 8, 2012, while conducting a patrol escort mission in Afghanistan, Captain Groberg tackled a suicide bomber as he detonated his device. Captain Groberg, who was severely wounded in the blast, used quick thinking to save the lives of many of his comrades.
According to the National Medal of Honor Museum, there are 64 living recipients of the medal. The National Medal of Honor Museum is currently under construction next to Choctaw Stadium as part of Arlington's Entertainment District, and is scheduled to open in 2024. FULL THROTTLE TAILGATE
The Renegades have moved their tailgate experience inside the gates in 2023, as the Full Throttle Tailgate will take place in the Centerfield Plaza area. Fans are encouraged to enter through the Centerfield gates to experience the tailgate festivities.
- The Centerfield gates will open 90 minutes prior to game time for access to the Full Throttle Tailgate. All other gates will open 60 minutes prior to kickoff.
