Arizona Sundogs Partners with TEAM Arizona

Arizona Sundogs News Release

Prescott Valley, AZ - As the Arizona Sundogs wrap up their 2012-13 regular season in the Central Hockey League, a different season is approaching; motorcycle riding season. In an effort to support motorcyclists and reduce motorcycle crashes, the Arizona Sundogs are partnering with TEAM Arizona, the premier motorcycle rider training organization in Arizona. On Friday, March 22, the Sundogs will host a TEAM Arizona booth located in Tim's Toyota Center on the concourse, where riders can find out how to obtain a motorcycle license to ride legally on the roadway and improve their riding skills.

This unique partnership developed as a result of recent motorcycle statistics from the Arizona Department of Transportation. From 2010 to 2011, motorcycle crashes increased by 55%. Of the 132 motorcyclist fatalities in 2012, 53 of the fatalities occurred in rural areas like Yavapai County.

The Arizona Sundogs are asking riders to make sure they're properly trained, licensed and that their skills are fresh. They want riders to consider taking a rider training course before getting back on a motorcycle, especially if it has been more than two years since a previous training experience.

TEAM Arizona Motorcyclists Training Center owner, Ron Arieli, wants riders to be as safe as possible. "We are excited the Arizona Sundogs recognize motorcyclists and recognize the need for motorcyclists to be properly trained and licensed. We've provided rider training at Tim's Toyota Center for several years now and we hope the Arizona Sundogs' partnership will expose more people to the life-saving public service we provide for Northern Arizona."

Prospective and current riders can register for a course by simply visiting MotorcycleTraining.com or call (928) 771-2500.

The Arizona Sundogs are the Central Hockey League affiliate of the NHL's Phoenix Coyotes. Season tickets, mini-plan, and single-game ticket information is now available by calling (928) 759-6600 or visiting arizonasundogs.com.
