PHOENIX, AZ (August 21, 2014) - The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today that the Arizona Sundogs have suspended operations, effective immediately, and will not compete in the 2014-15 season. The team will remain a member of the League with the hopes of competing in the 2015-16 season.

All signed players by the Sundogs for the upcoming season will become free agents immediately.

"The CHL would like to thank Sundogs Ownership, staff and fans for their continued support over the past eight seasons," said Steve Ryan, CHL Commissioner. "We are pleased that the door has been left open to have Sundogs hockey return in the very near future and we are supportive and confident that their efforts will strengthen the organization for years ahead."

The 2014-15 playing schedule is being revised and will be released in the coming days.
