(Wilkes-Barre, PA) The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers organization is excited to announce that ArenaCup8 will be televised live in Northeastern Pennsylvania Saturday night on My Network TV! The Pioneers will face off against the Tulsa Talons beginning at 8:00p.m. ET for the arenafootball2 league championship.

"This is a very exciting time in sports history for this area as the Wilkes Barre/Scranton Pioneers are in quest of winning the ArenaCup Championship," said Dave Berryman, President and General Manager of the Pioneers. "We are most pleased to announce that ArenaCup8 will be televised live on My Network. This will give all of the Pioneers fans the opportunity to watch the game and we appreciate the interest shown by My Network."

"We're thrilled by this announcement," said Jon Cadman, General Manager of WQMY, "Our goal as a station is to always look for local sports, news and other community oriented projects. This announcement is another step toward those goals."

"Broadcasting the championship game live on My Network TV makes perfect sense. WQMY carries more sports than any other broadcast outlet in the market," said Cadman, "WQMY is carried on every major cable system in Northeast PA except Comcast. It is our hope that Comcast will soon agree to carry our free broadcast signal to their cable subscribers."

My Network TV WQMY is the My Network TV affiliate in Northeastern & Central PA market, which serves over 500,000 households in the 53rd largest television market in the country. Along with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers and My Net programming, My Network TV WQMY recently signed an agreement to broadcast every Saturday Penguins hockey game. WQMY also carries some of the top syndicated shows, ten local high school football games, twelve Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) college football games, Big Ten/Big East Basketball and Football along with Philadelphia Phillies and New York Yankees baseball, Philadelphia Flyers hockey and Philadelphia 76ers basketball games.

WQMY is available over the air on channel 53 and on digital channel 56.3. All cable companies in Northeast and Central Pennsylvania can pick up WQMY for FREE. If your cable company is not listed above, call them and ask them to add My Network TV WQMY to their line-up.
