ArenaBowl XIX injury report
June 10, 2005 - Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I) News Release
LAS VEGAS â If Colorado defeats Georgia on Sunday, QB JOHN DUTTON can become the first starting quarterback to record ArenaBowl victories with two different teams. Dutton became the starter for the San Jose SaberCats late in the 2002 season, replacing the injured MARK GRIEB. In ArenaBowl XVII, he threw for 236 yards and five touchdowns in a 52-14 win over Arizona. The following season, with Grieb healthy, Dutton signed with expansion Colorado as a free agent, leading the Crush to ArenaBowl XIX and his chance at AFL history.
While Dutton can become the first starting quarterback to record ArenaBowl wins with at least two different teams, he will not become the first quarterback to do so. PAT O'HARA won a title as Orlando's starting quarterback in 1998 and as a backup for the Predators in 2000, before winning a ring with Tampa Bay in 2003.
