The Arena Football League Conference Championship games will air live on ESPN Saturday, July 12, beginning with the National Conference Championship at 1 p.m. between the Cleveland Gladiators and Philadelphia Soul. The American Conference Championship -- Grand Rapids Rampage at defending ArenaBowl champion San Jose Sabercats -- will follow at 3:30 p.m. Both games will also be available in high definition on ESPN HD. In addition, the championship games will be simulcast on ESPN360.com and ESPN Mobile TV. The winners will advance to ArenaBowl XXII in New Orleans, Sunday, July 27, at 3 p.m., on ABC and in high definition on ABC HD.

Dave Pasch and analyst Ray Bentley will be in the booth for the National Conference Championship with Marcellus Wiley reporting from the sidelines while play-by-play commentator Ari Wolfe and analyst Shaun King will call the American Conference Championship. The Gladiators will feature quarterback Raymond Philyaw and receiver Otis Amey, who leads the AFL in touchdowns with 50 total for 2008. The Soul will be led be quarterback Matt D'Orazio who is ranked no.1 in league pass completions for 2008, connecting 301 of 416. Quarterback James MacPherson will direct the Rampage, while defending ArenaBowl Champions, San Jose, will be guided by quarterback Mark Grieb.

Monday night's Cleveland Gladiators 73-70 upset of the Georgia Force in the divisional round on ESPN2 registered a 3.5 local rating in Cleveland, tops among all 56 metered markets and a new metered market high in the two years of AFL game telecasts on ESPN2.
