Maxwell, who hit .313 with five doubles, 24 runs scored, 17 RBI and eight stolen bases in 44 games with the SeaWolves last season, was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the 50th round of the 2004 draft out of South Mountain Community College in Arizona.
