Wenatchee AppleSox News Release

The Wenatchee AppleSox and Resort Radio are proud to announce that the AppleSox new flagship station for the 2014 season will be 93.9 Sunny FM. The station also broadcasts on a network of six FM translators throughout a five county area. All 58 AppleSox game, plus playoffs, will be broadcast on Wenatchee's radio home for "The Greatest Hits of all Time".

"This gives us a great opportunity to reach out to our fans with the much improved sound quality that comes with having our games broadcast on the FM band" said AppleSox co-owner/general manager Jim Corcoran.

In addition to tuning in on their radio dials, fans will also be able to listen to the AppleSox games on Wenatchee's Community Channel, KWCC-TV. KWCC is seen on LocalTel and Charter cable systems throughout the area. Fans watching one of these TV channels will hear the AppleSox/Sunny FM broadcast feed while viewing a live animated game summary in real-time, showing an electronic version of a traditional baseball score book that instantly broadcasts scores, rosters, stats and more to fans at home. The new technology promises an exciting at-home baseball experience.

Resort Radio principals include Kent Phillips, who co-hosts the "Kent & Alan Show" on Star 101.5, KPLZ, in Seattle, and Dave Herald, who has been a local radio icon for 37 years.

KWCC TV is a community television service led by Lonnie England. The channel also offers live broadcasts of Eastmont High School and Wenatchee Valley College sports, as well as other local events.
