
'Ants Fall Again, Look to Rebound Against Knights

The Tupelo FireAnts lost to the Ohio Valley Greyhounds, 72-24, Saturday night at the BancorpSouth Center.
Ohio Valley, the top team in the Atlantic North division came into Tupelo and increased their record to 4-0 overall when it was all said and done.
'Ants QB Todd Jordan completed 3 of 9 passes for 45 yards and one touchdown before leaving the game with an injury. New FireAnts backup quarterback and wide receiver, Damon Smith, was on the receiving end earlier in the game, as Todd Jordan completed a 33 yard pass to Smith in the end zone. Smith completed 7 of 17 passes for 72 yards when he replaced Jordan in the game.
RB Chris Rainey rushed for two 'Ants touchdowns on the night. Rainey gained 16 yards on 9 carries overall.
Tupelo will continue to rebuild this week, as they face the Austin Knights (1-4). Austin lost their last game to the Louisiana Rangers this past Saturday, 48-45.
