Texas Tornado News Release

The Texas Tornado are pleased to announce that Anthony Dorsett, Jr. will drop the opening puck at Sunday's Pros vs. Prospects game at Dr Pepper Arena. The former NFL safety was drafted by the Houston Oilers in the sixth round of the 1996 NFL Draft, stayed with the franchise through 1999 and played in Super Bowl XXXIV as a member of the Tennessee Titans. He also played with the Raiders from 2000-2003 and appeared in Super Bowl XXXVII, as well.

Dorsett will also spend the game on the Tornado bench as Texas prepares for its sixth edition of Pros vs. Prospects. The game starts at 5:00 p.m., though the doors will open at 1:30 p.m. for the Guns and Hoses charity game, scheduled for a 2:00 p.m. faceoff. Three players on the Pros roster, Jere Lehtinen, Bob Bassen and Landon Wilson, will be signing for the public strictly from 3:00-3:30 p.m. The players will head back to the dressing room at precisely 3:30, so make sure you're in line at Dr Pepper Arena early to get your autographs!

A portion of the ticket proceeds from Sunday's event will be donated to the Dallas Stars Alumni Association, as will the proceeds from a jersey auction following the game. Each player on the pro roster's jersey will be available for bidding while the player will also pose for a picture with the winning bidder. Other promotions include an opportunity to spend a Stars game with Mike Modano in the Dallas Stars Alumni Suite at American Airlines Center.
