(Toronto, ON) - You know you're the greatest player in league history when you only need to hear his initials to bring the crowd to its feet - 'Double A'.

Today, the National Basketball League of Canada (NBLC) named Anthony Anderson to the 10th Anniversary All-Time Team, comprised of the 10 greatest players in league history.

"When you think Double-A, most people think scorer - and who can blame them. This is a guy who posted records that may never be touched in this league - ever," said Audley Stephenson, NBLC VP of Basketball Operations. "But don't let those big offensive numbers distract you from seeing a tremendous all-around player - a scorer, an assists guy, a lock-down defender, a perfect leader. When the game was winding down, and you needed a bucket, you knew Double-A was there. Hands down, Anthony Anderson is the GOAT."

Playing with the Saint John Mill Rats (2013-16), Saint John Riptide (2016-17), and Moncton Magic (2017- 18), Anderson crafted a legendary league career that included being named the NBLC MVP in 2014. The 5-foot-11-inch point guard holds the all-time top spot for points (4,748), field goals (1,591), and free throws (1,072). He is second in both three-pointers (493) and assists (1,396), and third in steals (347).

The NBLC 10th Anniversary All-Time Team was selected by a 13-person committee of former league personnel, coaches, and front office staff. Voters selected players based on numerous factors, including impact on league, on-court play, longevity, representative of league values on and off the court, influence, and community involvement.
