Another Guard Home Game

Fayetteville Guard News Release
Fayetteville, NC --- A Father's Day surprise! The Fayetteville Guard has one more home game! In what was originally scheduled as a road game, the Guard will face off with the Miami Morays 7 p.m. Saturday, June 25 at the Crown Coliseum.
The venue change comes as another late season change. The initial 2005 schedule called for the Guard to travel to Corpus Christi, Texas for its final regular season game, but as recent as a month ago the league issued a team change. Today the Guard was notified that Fayetteville would host the Miami game; special-priced tickets go on sale Monday, June 20, 2005 at the Crown Coliseum.
"We are delighted to have the opportunity to offer an eighth game to the fans," said Guard General Manager Bobby Jackson. "We hope to continue our winning home streak."
Fayetteville has won five straight and holds onto the Atlantic Central's second spot with a 6-6 record, and only a half game out of first place in the division's close race.
The team in green travels this weekend to Lake Charles Louisiana to take on the Southwest Louisiana Swashbucklers (8-4). The Swashbucklers are one of the four teams that have clinched their division; the others being RiverCity, Odessa and Everett.
