Las Vegas Aces News Release
Newly-signed Aces center Megan Gustafson scored 12 points in Spain's (2-1) 73-72 come-from-behind victory over host Hungary (1-2) on Sunday afternoon at the Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Sopron.
Spain entered the game already qualified for the Paris Olympics by virtue of Japan's (2-1) victory over Canada (1-2) earlier in the day and found itself in a 22-point deficit early in the third quarter. However, Spain fought back and clipped the hosts to earn its sixth overall and third-straight Olympic appearance.
Over the three games, Gustafson led Spain in scoring (14.3 ppg), efficiency per game (14.7), field goal percentage (.586) and 2-point field goal percentage (.684). She also contributed 3.3 rebounds per game.
Also qualified out of the group are Japan and Canada.
