OTTAWA, ON - The heated rivalry between Ottawa and Edmonton is set to write its fifth and final chapter of 2016 Friday evening at TD Place when Fury FC host the Eddies to wrap up their three-game home stand and looking to extend their two-game unbeaten streak.

Over the course of the last three years, Fury FC have faced no other team more times than FC Edmonton - with 14 lifetime meetings against their Canadian rivals split between NASL and Amway Canadian Championship contests.

The intensity was apparent from their very first meeting in April of 2014 and from that first home-and-home series in Amway Canadian Championship action - the rivalry began to smolder. Expect Friday to be no different as both sides look to extend their respective unbeaten streaks - with Ottawa looking to build on back-to-back draws, while FC Edmonton take aim at the Fall Season title by extending their unbeaten streak to seven games.

The last time Ottawa faced Edmonton was July 17th at Clarke Stadium where the 10-men Eddies grabbed all three points as Nik Ledgerwood scored the game winner in the 82nd minute. According to head coach Paul Dalglish, his players will look to prove that they learned from their mistakes in that game.

"We have to learn from our mistakes, take our success and motivation from the past two games and try to repeat the same type of performance we displayed against them in the Amway. We'll have to be patient in this game and make sure to exploit their weaknesses and capitalize on our chances."

Friday evening's clash will be a special one once again for two former FC Edmonton players that are now donning Fury FC colours as Mallan Roberts and Eddie Edward will play against their former club for the second time, but the first time in Ottawa. The two defenders collectively played 125 games for Edmonton before joining Ottawa.

Following Friday's match, Fury FC will enter their longest road trip of the season which will see them travel over 8600 kilometers in 13 days, with the first stop coming in Puerto Rico on September 7th. T ickets are available by clicking here, calling 613-232-6767 x1 or in person at the TD Place Box Office. The Fall Season schedule is available here.
