Angel City Football Club Signs French Midfielder Clarisse Le Bihan

LOS ANGELES - Today, Angel City Football Club (ACFC) announced the international signing of French midfielder Clarisse Le Bihan. Le Bihan will make her NWSL debut and occupy an international roster spot after signing a two-year contract. The midfielder, who joins the league from Montpelier HSC, was acquired from the club in exchange for an agreed upon transfer fee.

"I'm really happy to join Angel City FC," said Le Bihan. "It will be my first time in the United States, and I think it couldn't be more exciting to come to Los Angeles and be a part of this amazing organization. It's such an honor for me, and I look forward to meeting all my teammates, engaging with the fans, and being on the pitch wearing this jersey."

Clarisse is a highly technical, skilled, and hard-working midfielder who has lots of experience playing as a defensive midfielder and can also play in an advanced midfield role," said ACFC Sporting Director Eniola Aluko."Clarisse holds 16 caps for the French national team and has a clear desire to continue her consistent performances over the years for Angel City this season."

Le Bihan began her professional career in 2009, playing for seven years for En Avant Guingamp. She joined Montpellier in 2016 and played 208 matches. She also won a European Championship with the national U19 club in 2013, was a member of the 2016 Olympic French National Team as a substitute, and played in the 2017 Euro Championship in the Netherlands. Le Bihan attended Université Catholique de l'Ouest Bretagne Nord for two years and Université Paul Valéry Montpellier 3 for one year.
