Alexandria Blue Anchors News Release

(Alexandria,Minn) - The Alexandria Blue Anchors, a member of the Northwoods League, have announced the signing of right handed pitcher Graylon Brown who will join fellow teammate Blake Bass.

Brown comes to the Blue Anchors from Angelo State University where he is a redshirt sophomore, so far for the Rams he has 8 appearances and a 1.93 ERA this season. In 2013 Graylon was named to the Lone Star Conference all- tournament team. Last summer while playing in the Jayhawk league he was rated as the #4 prospect after posting a 1.73 ERA.

"I think playing in the Northwoods League will be a great experience. It is one of the premiere leagues and has more talent than you can ask for," says Brown. "I'm excited to meet new people, teammates, and coaches while being blessed with the opportunity to play for the Blue Anchors."

In high school Graylon was a three sport star, he played basketball, football, and baseball. For his efforts on the field he was an all-state selection in both football and baseball.

The Brownwood, TX native is the son of Stephen Brown and Charrisse McArthur and was born May 29th, 1993. While in high school Brown played with Shelby Miller who currently pitches for the St. Louis Cardinals. When he is not playing baseball for the 20th ranked ASU Rams he enjoys fishing and water tubing.

The Blue Anchors will start the 2014 season on Tuesday May 27th at home versus the Mankato MoonDogs.
