Anaheim Returns Devante Smith-Pelly to Admirals

NORFOLK - The Anaheim Ducks, NHL parent club of the Norfolk Admirals, have returned forward Devante Smith-Pelly to the Admirals.

Smith-Pelly, 6-foot-0, 213 pounds, appeared in five games with Anaheim. In 54 career NHL games (all with the Ducks), he has recorded seven goals and 13 points.

The Scarborough, Ontario native has appeared in 34 games with the Admirals this season, notching five goals and 13 points. Smith-Pelly has appeared in 38 career AHL games between the Admirals and Syracuse Crunch, scoring five goals and 14 points.

Prior to turning pro last season, Smith-Pelly spent three seasons with the OHL's Mississauga St. Michael's Majors, where he recorded 78 goals and 153 points in 184 games. Smith-Pelly was selected by Anaheim in the second round (42nd overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

The Admirals take on the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Friday and Saturday nights at Norfolk Scope Arena. The second Military Appreciation Night, presented by USAA, takes place on Friday night.
