SAN DIEGO - The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned left wing Nicolas Kerdiles and center Sam Carrick to the San Diego Gulls, Anaheim's primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Kerdiles, 23 (1/11/94), appeared in two playoff games for Anaheim, going scoreless with an even plus/minus rating. Kerdiles made his Stanley Cup Playoffs debut in Game 5 vs. Edmonton, a 4-3 double-overtime victory on May 5 at Honda Center. The Irvine, CA native returns to San Diego having collected 3-36 points in five AHL Calder Cup Playoff games, leading the team in goals and points, and co-leading in assists. Kerdiles, who made his NHL debut on Feb. 22 vs. Boston, also earned 7-815 points with a +1 rating and 25 penalty minutes (PIM) in 27 regular-season games with the Gulls.
Carrick, 25 (2/4/92), has earned 2-24 points with 12 PIM in seven AHL Calder Cup Playoff games with San Diego. Acquired from Chicago with Spencer Abbott in exchange for Kenton Helgesen and a seventh-round selection in the 2019 NHL Draft on Mar. 1, 2017, Carrick recorded 14-2539 points with 105 PIM in 72 games between San Diego and Rockford during the 2016-17 regular season.
