
Amsterdam Defeats Glens Falls 5-4

Amsterdam Mohawks News Release
The Mohawks swept the PGCBL semifinals on Sunday night with a 5-4 win over Glens Falls at Shuttleworth Park. On Tuesday, the Mohawks will meet the Newark Pilots in the league championship series.
Matt Mack (Radford) singled in the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning.
P.J. Leto (Laureen B. Wallace C.C.) committed a crucial error in the bottom of the last inning that allowed Zach Shank (Marist) to reach second and Jude Vidrine (Lamar) to get to first with no outs. Luke Maile (Kentucky) cracked an infield single to load the bases and Kody Ortman (Auburn) tied the game with a single up the middle before Mack's heroics.
Josh Anderson (Yavapai) hit a two-run home run off of Abram Williams (Radford) in the top of the ninth inning to give the Golden Eagles a short-lived 4-3 advantage.
Williams picks up the win and Kyle Ruchim (Northwestern) is touched for the loss.
The game was played in front of 703 spectators and took 2:40 to play.
