Amerks to Host Dart Tournament at Filger's East End On Sunday, Feb 12

Rochester, NY- The Rochester Americans announced today the team will host a Dart Tournament on Sunday, Feb. 12 at Filger's East End. Located at 355 East Ave in Downtown Rochester, Filger's East End has been a proud partner of the Amerks since the 2015-16 season.

"Filger's East End is excited to team up with the Amerks and help a great cause for this event," said Kathy Slocum, owner of Filger's East End.

Registration for the event opens at 5:30 p.m. with the tournament scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. While limited spots are available, fans can enter for the chance to participate by pre-registering in person at Filger's East End, by going to member services during an upcoming Amerks home game or by visiting www.amerks.com. Pre-registration begins today and runs through Sunday, Feb. 5 at 12:00 a.m.

Fans can enter for the chance to play in the Amerks dart tournament while being paired with Amerks players, coaches and Alumni members. The winning team will win a suite for up to 12 people to an upcoming Amerks home game along with a guest appearance by Amerks Hall of Famer Jody Gage.

Throughout the night, fans can purchase 50/50 tickets and raffle tickets for the chance to win various Amerks giveaways, such as autographed prizes, vouchers and game tickets. All the proceeds raised from the raffle will benefit Gilda's Club of Rochester. Filger's East End will also be offering great food and drink specials for the event.

Gilda's Club Rochester is the sponsor of the Amerks annual "Pink the Rink" Breast Cancer Night on April 8 and has been serving the Greater Rochester community since 1959, first as Cancer Action, Inc., and then in 2000 as Gilda's Club. Today they receive over 17,800 visits yearly with over 1,200 FREE programs offered to men, women, teens and children who are affected by cancer. Their programs offer much-needed social and emotional support to those living with cancer along with their families and friends. Named for legendary Saturday Night Live comedienne, Gilda Radner, whose spirit lives on as members both give and receive love and laughter through their unique programs and events.
