Allen Americans News Release
Things are heating up in Texas, and the Americans continue to crank up their involvement in the community throughout early July.
After participating in Allen USA Celebration last weekend, the club is taking part in the Plano Independence Day Parade July 3 at 9:00 a.m. Fans can look for the team's truck, and the staff will be passing out giveaways to the crowd. The parade starts at Plano Senior High School and will travel north on Independence Parkway to Spring Creek Parkway. For more information, visit www.planoparade.net.
After the parade, the team is holding a 4th of July Sale at their pro shop in the Allen Event Center Saturday, July 3, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Team photos and inaugural season highlight DVDs will be 50% off the normal price.
Ticket representatives will also be available to give personal tours of the arena. Those interested in purchasing season tickets to see the Southern Conference Champions play their second season are encouraged to attend. All fans that buy new full season tickets Saturday will get 50% off any jersey in the store. Fans are limited to one jersey per ticket purchased.
Taste of Dallas takes place the following weekend, July 9-11, in Fair Park. Friday, July 9, the Ice Angels will be on hand from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. for autographs. Erik Adams will also be signing autographs at the event. The team will have its inflatable slap shot cage set up, too. For more information about Taste of Dallas, visit www.tasteofdallas.org.
After that is the Allen High School Athlete Alumni Golf Tournament July 12. In addition to providing prizes and sponsoring a hole, the team will have two people golfing.
